  • EVENT / CATERING ASSISTANT

    The ideal candidate will take part of daily operations in Lina’s retail, catering, and warehouse activities and will help maintain top execution of catering, gift baskets, and customer relationships.

    Position Responsibilities

    Below are the key responsibilities for the event and catering assistant, these responsibilities are not limited to:

    Management and Finance

    • Assist in the management of temporary labor to build baskets, handle catering, and deliveries

    • Work with team to build baskets that generate growth and margin

    • Work with catering team to satisfy customer requests and needs

    • Assist in purchasing basket supplies, goods, and materials

    • Assist with HHGM receiving, storage, and sending stock to locations

    • Reach out to clients and gain new clients for Lina’s Catering, Gift Basket, and instore programs/events

    Customer Service and Operations

    • Address all customer complaints in a timely and appropriate manner and work with customers to come to a satisfying resolution

    • Create a professional and friendly customer experience using all mediums such as email, phone, and in-person interactions.

    • Assist with opening and closing coverage as needed at store level

    • Work with the Catering manager to manage incoming requests

    • Ensure community presence by working with community partners to host/ support community events

    • Create baskets that improve sales and create repeat customer turnover

    • Ensure all applicable company policies and procedures are communicated and adhered

    • Ensure that OHS, food safety, and other regulatory requirements and procedures are implemented and maintained

    Schedule:

    This is a full-time

    Evenings and weekends are required for this position

    Qualifications
    The ideal candidate will possess the following:

    • Minimum 3-years of experience in a management position, ideally in the food service industry

    • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

    • A keen interest in food and the ability to work well in a team

    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff

    • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task and still perform accurately
